Make a repeat tile once, reuse it everywhere
A pattern tile is one of the most reusable things a brand owns: design it once and it wraps packaging, fills backgrounds and ties a system together. This generator builds that tile as clean, repeat-ready SVG, so the seams line up no matter how large you scale it.
Pick a style family (geometric floral, Bauhaus blocks or an art-deco fan), set the tile size and motif scale, rotate it, then recolor with the ink/accent/ground swatches. The live repeat tester tiles the motif across the canvas so you can confirm the join before you export.
Dialing it in
- Choose a style family, then push Tile size and Motif scale until the rhythm feels right.
- Turn on the repeat tester to check the edges actually meet — patterns live or die on the seam.
- Set ink, accent and ground colors, or load a palette preset to stay on-brand.
- Copy the SVG, grab the CSS
backgroundsnippet, or export a transparent PNG for layout tools.
Good for
- packaging wraps, tissue paper and label fills
- website and app section backgrounds
- brand pattern systems and stationery
- textile and wallpaper exploration
FAQ
Will the pattern actually tile without a visible seam?
Yes — the motif is laid out on a fixed tile and mirrored at the edges, and the repeat tester shows the join live. If you spot a seam, nudge the tile size or rotation and it disappears.
SVG, CSS or PNG — which should I take?
Take the SVG (or the CSS background snippet) when you want it to stay razor-sharp at any size and recolorable in code. Export PNG only when a tool needs a flat raster.
Can I get a transparent tile to layer over a photo?
Turn on transparent export and the ground color is dropped, leaving just the motif on alpha — handy for overlaying a pattern on imagery or a colored section.
