See your pattern on real products

A pattern that looks great as a flat swatch can fall apart at real-world scale — too busy on a wall, too sparse on a box. This tool drops your tile onto simple product surfaces so you can judge the repeat in context, not in the abstract.

It shares the seamless-pattern engine, so the tile, scale and palette controls behave the same way; here you're checking how that tile reads once it's wrapped onto wallpaper, a roll and packaging panels.

From open to export

  1. Set the tile and motif controls until the swatch looks right.
  2. Watch the mockup surfaces to judge whether the scale works at product size.
  3. Adjust scale up if the wall reads too busy, or down if packaging looks empty.
  4. Once it sits well in context, take the tile into the Seamless Pattern tool to export.

Common uses

  • validating pattern scale before production
  • wallpaper and surface design reviews
  • packaging and gift-wrap mockups
  • client presentations of a repeat

FAQ

Can I export the mockup itself?

This view is for judging scale in context. To export the production tile, build it in the Seamless Pattern generator, which gives you SVG, CSS and PNG.

Why does my pattern look fine flat but busy on the wall?

Scale. A motif sized for a swatch is often too dense once it tiles across a large surface — this preview is exactly there to catch that before you print.

Does it use the same pattern as the Seamless tool?

Yes — same engine and controls, so what you tune here matches what you'll export there.
